There is no longer a time limit on claiming for childhood abuse.
On 29 June 2026 the law changed in England and Wales. The three year deadline was removed, and it is now for the institution to show a fair hearing is impossible. If you were abused as a child, you are not too late.

You do not have to make a claim to get help.
These numbers are free and independent. Nobody there is connected to this site, and nothing you say to them comes back to us.
What happens if you get in touch
Three steps, and you control every one of them.
Nothing moves until you say so, and stopping costs you nothing.
You leave a name and a number
Pick a time of day that is safe for you to take a call. That is the whole form.
A specialist solicitor calls you
Somebody from a law firm that does this work every week, trained for this conversation and bound by legal privilege. We are not trained for it, so we never make that call.
You decide whether to go further
You can end it at any point, without giving a reason. If you go quiet, nobody chases you.
The thing we want you to read
This site never asks what happened to you.
There is no box to describe the abuse. No questions about the person who did it. Nothing to upload, and no form that keeps going once you have started.
That account belongs with a solicitor who is trained to take it, in a protected conversation, at a moment you choose. We hold your name, your number and when you would like to be rung. Nothing else.
Where this applies
Anywhere an adult was responsible for you.
- Schools and boarding schools
- Children's homes
- Foster placements
- Religious institutions of any denomination
- Sports clubs and coaching
- Youth groups and uniformed organisations
- Secure units and detention
- Hospitals
Nothing to pay upfront
Claims are pursued by panel solicitors on a no win, no fee basis. Where a claim succeeds, a success fee is deducted from the compensation.
These claims take years
Two to five years is normal. Anyone who tells you it is quick is not being straight with you.
England and Wales
Scotland removed its time limit separately in 2017 and has its own rules and its own firms.

Ask for a call
Six boxes, and none of them about the abuse.
Your details go to one specialist law firm and nowhere else. They are not sold, shared with a panel, or used to advertise anything to you.
If today is not the day, close the page. It will still be here, and so will the numbers at the top.
