If we have got something wrong.

Complaining costs you nothing, does not affect anything else that is happening, and you do not have to be polite about it.

About this site or how we contacted you

Email enquiries@historicabuseclaims.co.uk and put "complaint" in the subject line. Set out what went wrong. You do not need a reference number and you do not need to write it formally.

We will acknowledge it within five working days and give you a full answer within eight weeks. If it is going to take longer than that, we will tell you why before the eight weeks are up.

About the solicitor or the law firm

Once your enquiry has been passed on, the firm handling it is responsible for its own service. Complain to them first and they must tell you how.

If you are not satisfied with their answer, the Legal Ombudsman can look at it independently: legalombudsman.org.uk, or 0300 555 0333.

About how your data was handled

You can come to us, and you can also go straight to the Information Commissioner without asking us first: ico.org.uk, or 0303 123 1113.

If you would rather not deal with us at all

That is a reasonable thing to want. Email us the word "stop" and we will delete what we hold and not contact you again.
